Spring Skincare with Evita Rose Foam

It’s already spring in Tokyo and my skin finally went back to normal!

Winter brought back my atopic dermatitis and putting on makeup as well as removing it, made it so complicated. I gave up and just wore my bare skin with tons of moisturizer. Now that it’s spring, I feel obliged to share with you my current skincare.

After I finished my bottle of Biore’s facial foam wash, which I mentioned on my winter skincare blog, I finally got this beautiful Evita beauty whip soap. I saw this last year on my Facebook feed and I just fell involve with the rose foam.

I got it 2 or 3 weeks ago, I was so excited I tried it asap. My husband helped me understand the instructions at the back, so he was there when I first pushed the foam up. On my first try nothing came out, the second try was hilarious. It quickly came up and instead of a rose foam, it looked like a boner. Surprise!

Anyway, that was the first time I used it, since then it comes up like a decent rose foam.

You will find a lot of websites featuring this product so you won’t have difficulty ordering online. It is also available in any drugstores all over Tokyo since it became popular last year.

You may also want to check their website about the product, it’s in Japanese but I was able to understand with google translate. I read this after I felt a little stinging on my skin around the eye area, turns out you can’t use it to help remove your eye makeup.

Actually it’s not meant to remove makeup at all. This rose foam is meant for double cleansing routine.

If you’re a skincare junkie and doesn’t mind double cleansing, you’ll love it.

To be honest, I find it difficult to trust a facial wash that can’t remove makeup. Despite that, I found positive reviews online and according to the website – well, as far as I can understand, this product is meant for aging skin. It’s got royal jelly, collagen, hyaluronic acid, rose water and rice fermented extract. Nevertheless, I bought this product because of the rose concept. Once empty, I’ll probably go back to Rosette cleansing paste.

Lastly, here’s a video I made for my spring skincare. Let me know any other japanese facial wash that’s worth a try! じゃあ、またね!
